"Fantastic staff and great owners. The food was awesome. The place needs updating and maintenance as well as a thorough cleaning. I later stayed at the Kruger Gate Hotel which had more amenities, free meals, cleaner and much cheaper."

"The place was fantastic! So close to the Malalane Gate! The area is safe with easy access to local restaurants and stores. The property itself was a shock in that it’s nicer and quieter than described. I loved it. Plus, I got to see my first wild monkeys on the property! The people were all kind and helpful. I have zero negative things to say about my experience here! "

"What an amazing vacation! You literally cannot beat the location and wow, the hotel was stunning. Good food to order, lovely staff, and even a little shop for souvenirs! Cannot recommend this hotel enough. Also, highly recommend booking “Amos” as your game driver with Kurt Safari Co (who the hotel uses for safaris) he was amazing! "I truly enjoyed my experience at the lodge. It is the perfect getaway as you're close to Malelane Gate. It's also very clean and tidy.
The self-catering is a wonderful option, but there is also a restaurant when you don't feel like cooking.

The room door did not lock from the outside, the bathroom tap had a leak and when I tried to close the bathroom door it did not close fully, the TV remote from the room next door was controlling my TV so I could not relax and watch TV, the bed was very noisy and you could also clearly hear the conversations and TV from the room next door. Two game drives per day (morning and afternoon/evening) with excellent guides. Because you are staying inside the park, you don’t have to worry about getting in and out of Kruger National Park before the gates close. Also, your guide can explore off-road places as well, getting you to where the animals are!

"Camp Shawu Tents have a unique location in front of a watering hole that house Hippos, and see a string of animals come to hydrate like elephants, impalas, and giraffes....You can seat on your deck and enjoy the show. Our Safari Guide Sifiso, was AMAZING! He made the trip even more special.
