On rt 66 - cars drag race ALL NIGHT LONG. The hotel is very clean and staff nice. Location very scary (drugs and police activity)- not family safe.

Dawson welcomed us on Christmas and told us the closest restaurant that was open (Yasmine’s Mediterranean was great). Possibly less than half full so Dawson upgraded us. Whole place was clean, newly painted, parking lot newly striped, tub clean, water hot. Best bang for buck in ABQ

You get what you pay for
We drove up to see an outdoor check-in, weather is below freezing; made me feel I was in an unsafe area. The clerk unlocked the lobby and let me in; check in was fine. The bathroom had two long black hairs in the sink, towels had stains and holes, and the toilet was the height of a preschool classroom.I could see through the doorframe but the heater took care of the incoming air. Bed was fine.

The check in staff was very pleasant. They mentioned that the room was more expensive due to the balloon festival. We had about 1/3 of a roll of toilet paper and ran out very quickly. Our room also had no shampoo or soap in it. If I had paid $80 for the room, I would not complain. But I was charged $200due to the time of year and there’s nothing acceptable about not having basic needs for that price.

The inn was a good choice for us on our motorcycle trip. Parking was convenient and the area was safe enough. There were homeless people about (not just in this area though) but they didn't bother anything or approach anyone. The check-in clerk was very friendly and efficient.
The room was fine, beds comfortable, water hot, sufficient space overall. It was just the ticket for an overnight stay. As a bonus, it was only a few blocks down from the old town and was on Route 66. As such, there was some road noise being so close to the Interstate and 66, but it was not bad. We'd stay there again.
