Comfort in nature
Lovely family owned business! We were very comfortable in our room. The breakfasts served on our balcony each morning were some of the best meals we’ve had on our trip. The highlight of our stay was an impromptu wildlife tour around the grounds. One of the workers spotted a sloth and came to tell us. She showed us to it and then led us around the grounds pointing out toucans and many other birds.

What an amazing place! The rooms are open with big windows and lovely views and Mellisa has thought of everything to make the room amenable. Stove top, refrigerator, and lots of flat surfaces for luggage and bags. Great breakfast served to the room; it was the best! We really enjoyed our stay and wished we had booked another night. I would definitely stay there again! Thank you for a memorable stay!!!

Manuel was a great host and showed us around the property and educated us on trees, flowers, and animals in the area. Breakfast was the best we had in Costa Rica and was kind enough to make us a second dish and was able to accommodate to my wife’s food allergies.

Place was serene. Beautiful grounds and a lovely room. Saw a sloth, howler monkeys and toucans on grounds. Staff and owners seemed very generous with their time. Breakfast was a treat. Would go back there just to go back there. Could not have been much nicer!

Talk about a hidden gem! And a terrific value. Beautiful remote site nestled in a forest with large trees next to a river. Yummy breakfast with lots of fresh fruit and juice provided. Excellent choice if visiting Tenorio park/blue waterfall.

The staff and Angie were top notch. Absolute care to our families needs. Such a beautiful bungalow and setting. Sloths toucans and other wildlife abound on the property and staff show you were to find them, or you can wander to find them at your leisure. A memorable stay for sure.

This property was tastefully designed. The gardens were an attractant to the birds. There is a nice little trail along the creek and a pool to enjoy at this B &B. The breakfast was the best we've had in Costa Rica. We lucked out by finding this place and would stay here again. Highly recommended for birders!

I stayed at Agutipaca for 4 days. The hosts Manuel and Flory are absolutely wonderful and made my stay very comfortable. The area is beautiful and the jungle and it's wildlife is relaxing and adventurous all at once. I enjoyed an amazing breakfast every morning, which was served right at my cabin, while listening to the birds sing and enjoying the first rays of sunshine shimmering through the canopy of the forest. Thanks again for making my time at your lovely place so enjoyable!!!

Super clean, welcoming, huge covered decks to hang out on. Next to a river, surrounded by forest garden full of wildlife. Our host took us on a walk that included 3 sloths, 2 howlers, many birds and butterflies and flowered plants. Tasty and generous breakfast brought to you at time of your choice. Wonderful. The only negative i can think of was a chained up dog at a nearby ranch that barked a lot. A bit tricky to find initially until we turned on Google maps.Rio Celeste blue river and waterfall a half hour away.

Agutipaca B&B is clean, quiet and well-appointed lodging located in the uplands between the Tenorio and Miravalles volcanoes and their natural attractions, such as hot springs and the Rio Celeste. My room was a good size with comfortable furnishings and plenty of natural light.

Perfect place to stay in a pretty rural setting
There are 4 units in the property nestled in the most beautiful lush landscaped gardens full of bright colored flowers & a creek flowing through.. The apartment is spotlessly clean and the owners are so fried& make you feel really at home. They ask you what time you want breakfast & it shows up at your apartment right on time with a really tasty breakfast & freshly squeezed fruit juice.
This property is very rural surrounded by cattle farms & rolling green hills. There is a restaurant about a mile away or there is a small kitchenette with a double burner if you want to cook for yourself. There is a coffee maker & a bag of local coffee was provided which was wonderful.
This is a very peaceful & quiet setting perfect if you’re headed to Tenorio National Park as it’s about 10 miles before the entrance & close to the white water rafting in the area.
