Paper thin walls- they need to sound proof.
My main complaint was the fact that the walls are paper thin. We had an excessive cougher in a room one side of us and sex addicts, going at it all night on the other side. Including their noisy pillow talk. If you want a good nights sleep this hotel is not for you! LOL. Luckily we were going to a football game so only stayed for one night! On a happier note, check in was very nice and our room was available about 20 minutes early. As a VIP member it was great to get the $40.00 credit.

Santa Monica Huntley Hotel
Lights didn’t work properly. Water in shower couldn’t maintain a steady temperature. Service was very good. Hotel mattress was average comfort. Overall disappointing for a luxury hotel, but the restaurant was excellent. Unique choices and all were tasty.

Lovely hotel but lose the candles
the people at the Huntley are lovely, from the front desk to the cleaning, to the valet. my one complaint was the abundance of candles burning in the lobby. for someone who is severely allergic to fragrance, this made the comings and goings into the hotel stressful to be in that atmosphere while waiting for the elevator. I would ask the the Huntley to ditch the signature fragrances for the overall health and happiness of all guests. Burning scented candles is toxic.

Comfort at the Highest Level
The Huntley is an amazing hotel a block or two from the ocean. Amazing views and amenities and the place oozes with comfort. Check in was a little slow and parking rates are high but probably in line with most of the high end hotels in the area. The restaurant at the top of the hotel is fantastic!

Amazing food and service!
Excellent hotel and staff! The Penthouse restaurant is very underrated. My wife and I are foodies and have eaten in some of the world’s best restaurants. The Penthouse had a fun and exciting menu and they consistently execute with perfection. My wife has some food allergies and Chef Manni (spelling ?) was amazing. He came to the table and discussed her food allergies and some substitutions he recommended. He could not have been a better ambassador of the hotel/restaurant. He even made sure proximity to her food allergies was not a problem. Very few chefs are this good with food allergies and we always remember the ones who care. It’s always good business to take care of guests food allergies because when you can’t serve someone with food allergies it is not just their business you lose, but you lose the business of everyone in their group as they will just eat somewhere where everyone can be served. Amazing menu, amazing food and spectacular service defines my experience at The Penthouse restaurant. Thank you!
