The proprietor was very proud of her city and explained the traditional breakfast food and demonstrated how to prepare it for eating. Her husband was fluent in English and helped us with any complicated queries and a little history as well. The ceilings in the hotel and rooms were domed and unique. They also assisted us in how to bring our rental car close to the hotel for loading.

Incredible people and place
We have been travelling across southern Italy for three weeks and have stayed in several places which were all nice friendly and clean, but Casa Mamma Elvira stands above the rest for us. The location is central to everything that is historically important to see, and also central to many restaurants and shops. We ate at Mamma Elvira Cucina ,which is adjacent to the B&B and it was amazing, both the service and the food. The staff at the B&B were so kind, friendly and accommodating a special thank you to Marcida who went out of her way and as everyone there always greeted us with a smile. If we could give them more than 5 stars we would !

The location is perfect close to the historic area and you can find a lot of restaurants and cafe . You need to try their restaurantes : Scante and the cucina Di Mama Elvira very good food and service. Breakfast are excellents and the hostess very nice . Big apartment.

It’s a nice property. Very hard to park nearby as the streets are busy with limited spaces. Unfortunately, Lecce doesn’t have much to offer with regard to sightseeing, even though this is close to the historic porto. Breakfast was okay but staff watched the eggs and meat be depleted down to a few pieces and did not replenish them even though people were still eating. It would have been nice to have a full breakfast regardless of the proportions the earlier diners scooped up, unless no one had much.

Excellent Stay!
We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend. Our train was very much delayed and we arrived late and the owner waited for us and personally helped us in. This was very much appreciated! The location is perfect and the breakfast was wonderful. Very clean as well. You will not be disappointed!
