Freezing room
Checked into the room and it was 58 degrees. After one hour I called the front desk who called maintenance up. Maintenance said they fixed it and to wait for it to heat up. It did not heat up so I called the front desk again to which they made it obvious that this was a known problem and they would try to find a warmer room. After several tries to find a decently warm room, the manager moved us to a smaller room (only 1 queen). After sitting for two hours in a freezing room and ending up with a smaller room there was no compensation besides paying for the smaller room rather than the larger. I was not impressed with this hotel. Another fellow traveler said his room was 78 degrees. Clearly this hotel has HVAC problems and is not willing to do the right thing to properly fix it.

Disappointing
Really disappointing stay. Incredibly slow valet service. Bathroom was very small and had to tango around the door to use the restroom. Speaking of restroom, the toilet was full of fresh poo stains. The queen bed was questionable and the “HD” tv was fuzzier than the muppet. I will be likely looking elsewhere for my next stay in Denver.

Dismal experience
First room was lousy: small, poorly lit, missing lightbulbs, no heat. Replacement room was larger but also poorly lit with lightbulbs missing and missing curtain except for blackout ones, so could not get natural light. There was no housekeeping or linen or towel service on Christmas, and no toilet paper replacements available, but we were not told that. We had to specifically request bathrobes that were supposed to be supplied.

Always top notch!
We frequent for our annual staycations, service is always top-notch, feel pampered. This visit we were surprised with remodeling work in progress in the restaurant and on the floor we were booked. The work was continuing into the late evening. Apparently the late work hours were also a surprise to the desk staff. Mathew the Guest Services Manager went out of his way to approach us in the lobby and proactively offered us an upgraded room on an upper floor far from the disturbances, a much appreciated gesture that a another hotel would usually only happen after a LOT of protest. Another reason why we will always stay here when in Downtown Denver!
