Loved it for our honeymoon
It was a huge amazing resort! Lots of walking. We upgraded to a royal suite and it was worth it! The staff everywhere were so kind and worked very hard to keep you happy! The oriental restaurant and the steakhouse were amazing! The Royal restaurant was wonderful too! The buffets were ok. Some good stuff, some not so great.We loved the resort and will definitely be back!

We have stayed at Occidental at Xcaret Destination before and enjoyed it so much we came back. Facilities and staff are generally excellent. We enjoy the fact that we can go to Xcaret essentially every day for free and stay for just a few hours each time. Bars were well stocked and generous. The ala carte restaurants were quite good and the snack bar at the pool was good for lunch. The main buffet was good at breakfast but it was horrible for dinner. Not many meat nor vegetable choices and they were unappetizing, sparse and cold. Other guests seemed to feel the same way. Also, it seemed that none of the ice machines in the various buildings worked. Despite these setbacks we still enjoyed it enough to return again in the future.

The experience was wonderful! The staff did very well in trying to assist with any issues and the food was pretty decent. The pool was very nice and amenities were plentiful. The added joy of having a monkey hanging out on our porch and butterflies in the tree nearby was amazing! The only thing that would’ve topped off a really good stay would to have had transportation to and from the airport supplied by the hotel.

Since we touched ground at Occidental at Xcaret the lady greeting us conducted us to our lobby at Royal Level, service amazing, Rola Level personnel incredibly professional and kind, the best impression from this hotel, my wife cried literally when we left, I strongly recommend this place.
