My friend and I really enjoyed our time at this hotel.
The location was a huge plus for us;
it's in a very safe area and so convenient for getting around, with Gare de Lyon just a short walk away.
We also loved that there were so many restaurants nearby to choose from.
The room itself was very clean and comfortable.
A nice bonus was the smart TV, which allowed us to easily cast videos from our phones.
We'd definitely stay here again.

Had a pleasant 2 night stay at Hotel de France. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Room was a bit small and internal facing, but bed was very comfortable. Shower not great, low pressure. Location was great for restaurants, Gare de Lyon and buses, metro etc.

Like others our room was at the back with view of a wall, but it was very quiet and the room - though small - was very comfortable. Breakfast is a good selection, and the staff are helpful. It is good to have the 24 hour reception. The hotel is ideally placed for Gare De Lyon.

Hotel staff was always friendly and helpful. There was always someone available at the front desk, which was convenient for us because we had to catch a 6am train on the morning we departed.
One of the few hotels that we found that actually had a 2nd bed for our son and not just a sleeper sofa. The air conditioner also worked amazing, which is a hard find in Europe

The room was clean and the location is great—only a short walk from Gare de Lyon. That said, the service was average and reception often had long waits, suggesting understaffing. The furniture is dated, the bed throw had visible stains, and only one room key was provided. I chose not to have breakfast as the selection seemed very limited and opted to eat in the city instead. Additionally, the toilet and the hand-washing sink were in separate rooms, which wasn’t very convenient. Overall, an average experience.

I was a bit concerned that this property might trade the obvious advantages of convenience (so near Gare de Lyon) and price for comfort. Instead, it was very clean, quite comfortable, and a super nice staff. Great value.
