The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Yes, the hotel is older and rustic just as the pictures show but it’s got so much character. Lots of critters too, squirrels, anoles, geckos and iguanas. The pool is warm as well. Bathrooms have nice pressure and hot water. Wifi is weak but better by the pool. A/C is the best! Good to know. Tacos and a bank on the corner, Oxxo up the stairs for morning coffee. Little stores all around and the playa principal is just a calm 10 minutes away. Good eats: tacos on the corner, Junto al Mar in the beach. Guillermo at the front desk had great recommendations as well. We were happy with our stay.

Rustico lugar, viejo.

Great Old Charm
Outside the hustle bustle of the beaches but just on the cusp, so we lived the location. This is an old hotel but they ns of charm and friendly nice. Great pool and Taqueria just half block away. Our room was on the pool, so at times it got a little loud late when people came home, but without a doubt stay again. Beds are firm.

6/10 Good

The room looked old and battered. The bathroom was dirty with hairs in the shower area the tiles on the wall were dirty. Had to use a towel on the shower floor because I did not want to touch with my feet. it had a tiny TV. Wi-Fi is pretty fast and the pool area looks pretty decent. It does not have a restaurant and if they did, it was close during my stay overall I would not stay there again. What they charge it’s not worth it. You could find other hotels for way less in the area.

8/10 Very good

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel because it was in a quiet neighborhood. In fact, the only thing that kept me awake at night were the chirping frogs or birds outside my 2nd floor door - earplugs helped lol! The pool is beautiful and was very relaxing. The entire hotel has many artistic details which I found pleasing. Staff was very helpful. Take very good walking shoes as some streets are quite steep. Popular beaches are within walking distance.

4/10 Fair

The hotel advertised dinning and bar. When we checked in we were hungry, we asked the front desk about dinning, she told us they had no chef or bartender. We got to our room the back door was completely left open. When we showered no hot water. It was hot out so we didn't care. The next morning I asked the front desk about hot water she said they have to manually turn it on for the rooms. I believe this should of been done before we checked in. The bathroom had no shower curtain so it's a huge mess. On one of the days we got back from being out, the room had been cleaned the window (no window screens) was left open, anyone could of reached in and taken my laptop that was right by the window we had locked up before leaving. I asked the gentleman at the front desk if they glasses and ice, he replied that they don't offer any of that. lol. Overall so disappointed. The only good part of the hotel was the fast Wi-Fi since I still had to work and the girl at the front desk, she was very nice.

This eccentric hotel has great character and charm. After a day at the beach, I enjoyed relaxing in a hammock by the hotel pool. It was easy to park my rented car in the hotel parking lot. The hotel provided free drinking water. I enjoyed talking with the other guests. The hotel staff was helpful.

A wonderful, welcoming ,family run old style Mexican hotel. Great location near Playa Principal and restaurants. The beds in the regular rooms are a little too firm for our taste. Just for a change since we were there for a week we moved to a suite. Beautiful and the beds were fine.Great view also. Cecelia at the front desk was great for arranging drivers and the mandatory Covid test of the Biden regime in order to return to the US. Fredericko provided a very good breakfast at the hotel restaurant. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Puerto Escondido.
