Enjoyable Trip
Enjoyed our break away at Lathones. staff work very hard to please their customers some people make it very difficult for them but they are always polite to them .I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel .Hope to be back soon .

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful old inn just outside St Andrews. Good food and a nice time in the bar with an informal whisky tasting. Mike the owner was a lovely host and excellent company.

The Inn at Lathones is a cute little Inn just outside of St. Andrews. The grounds are beautiful in a countryside setting. The rooms are well-maintained and there is a restaurant on site if you don't want to go into town. It was a great place for us as we had been at St. Andrews for the day and was heading for Edinburgh the next day.

2nd time we have stayed here, we love it, the staff are so friendly and helpful. The beds are super comfortable and spotless clean. The rooms are well equipped, tv iron and iron board, hairdryer,tea coffee and coffee machine.
The breakfast choice is fabulous with all good quality produce.
Evening dinner menu is with excellent choices all freshly prepared and delicious.
The hotel is a 15 minute drive away from the center St Andrews and the stunning beach, and the world famous golf course. A perfect location to stay and explore.

Lovely
Had a lovely stay. Staff were super friendly and helpful, breakfast was tasty. Our room was a nice size and jacuzzi bath was great. One tiny complaint would be the floor in our room was soo creaky so if someone got up in the night for the bathroom the other was woken by the noise (even with our whitenoise machine on) A Larger area rug might help?

Hidden Gem
Fantastic couple of nights stay with wife and dog. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Booked the superior room which is very large with nice bathroom (separate walk-in shower & bath). Patio doors opened onto private deck which was ideal for our dog. The only minor issue was the creaking wooden floor in the bedroom beside the door into the bathroom. If you get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom you will inevitably wake up your partner. Had breakfast and evening meals both days which were excellent. Ideal base for exploring the East Neuk. Would definitely book again.

Overall hotel is lovely. It’s in a nice location, hotel employees are fabulous and nothing is too much trouble…restaurant is great and the food was lovely….. however…we got very little sleep. There is no soundproofing in the rooms.. you can hear everything and the noise from upstairs was bad with people just walking around and talking in their room. The superior room we booked was ok. Needs updating though. Peeling paint above the shower and the entire wooden floor creaked loudly whenever you walked on it. Not sure the room was worth the cost we paid 😞

Good parking. Best restaurant of trip! Staff friendly. Room large/clean. Bed just not comfortable. It is in the country but pretty and quiet. Close to St Andrews and a short drive to other coastal towns.

Pet friendly but they aren't allowed on the bed and it is very close to a main road so can't let your dog off the lead.
Because it was very quiet when we were there, there wasn't much atmosphere in the restaurant but the food and service was very good.
