Left short changed $
Few issues, that the hotel were not interested in sorting. I was told to deal with hotels.com to sort out a room saying it had city views, but we were on the 4th floor and looked into another brick building. Disappointed to think we paid extra for city views on New Year’s Eve. The other issue being my wife’s makeup bag went missing from the bathroom, again hotel were not interested.

Great view, okay room
Overall a nice room, but room wasn’t clean when we arrived at 7 and wasn’t cleaned until 10 or so. The bathtub stopper also didn’t work and they didn’t have another one. The view was amazing though.

It was ok.
Nice hotel for a short stay. It has a wonderful roof terrace that makes the place otherwise it lacks atmosphere and needs a good clean (under the beds full of litter/nail clippings etc) anything above 5ft is dusty / dirty. ‘Breakfast included’ doesn’t mean it’s included… You receive a voucher for a coffee and wait ages for it… city view was paid for but not received - Instead we looked at a courtyard and rusty sets of stairs. Pointless resort fees added for things you’d get anyway. WiFi. Gym access. Etc

Great location close to Katz deli and a bunch new hot spots in the East Village area. We hot the Swedish Candy Store, Bon Bon, Double Chicken Please, SuperBueno, Essex Market, Milano's Pardon My French, McSorely's and others. Ended the night at 7th Ave Burger for a late night snack, yummy...

Not a place for families
The room and hotel were nothing more than mediocre. The hotel was gorgeous when you first enter, and the staff was incredibly friendly. BUT, the booking did not make it clear that there was a night club on the 15th floor. I was under the impression that there was a bar/restaurant that was family friendly. Not only was it not family friendly, but the noise that came from this night club was far louder than the average NYC noise. Which kept both kids up each of the 4 nights we stayed. Also, many hotels have a small store where you can get water or snacks at any time. This hotel did not offer that and if you wanted to get water, you could refill your own bottles in the weight room. Lastly, there was mold in the shower that was visible. I have a 1 year old who needs a bath each night and wants to touch anything she sees. For such a beautiful hotel and great location, this was a disappointment.
