The window looked out into the wilderness and we saw deer and other animals without leaving the room.

So close to the rim trail
It was so nice to stay so close to the rim trail Didn’t have to wake up super early and drive into the park. Lots of conveniences in the immediate area but you can tell they make it a priority to not disturb the local habitat as much as possible. Would certainly stay here again. Very pet friendly as long as your pet is friendly because there are lots of pups around.

This hotel was not in a convenient area. Staying in the Grand Canyon village would be much better. It is not very near to the visitor center. The walk was not safe, no sidewalk. Room is nice, big and clean. Plenty of parking. Hallway could be cleaner and the door to the hallway from outside should be locked.

Great location, mediocre accommodations.
Location was fantastic, two-minute drive to visitor center, Rim Trail and shuttles to all points on the South Rim. Accommodations were basic and not well-maintained. Our whole family struggled with allergy symptoms from the dusty room and linens. Price was the main factor in our decision to stay here. Staying in-park was a big benefit, but I’d hope to stay in better facilities in the future.

Not worth the money you have to pay. Better to stay outside of the park

Great hotel, terrible bedding.
Lovely room except the bedding. The pillows were absolutely awful. Cheap foam. They really let down the room and the whole experience.

Not Worth the Location
Very run down hotel with paper thin ceilings. Shower was broken, sheets were dirty and full fingernails were in the carpet. Once we asked for a new room the next room was a bit better at least but we got compensated with two $3 drop coffees.

Not a Three Star Hotel
No WiFi, beds were hard, rooms are in buildings away from the main building. I guess they earn a third star because they are in the park. The rooms aren't any better than a budget motel. Would only stay here if I wanted to be in the park in the cheapest place.

Comfy and restful stay!
Our stay at Yavapai was super comfortable and restful. We loved staying in the park so we could start exploring early... and after all that hiking, to be close to the dining hall for dinner was very convenient.
It was so nice and quiet at night... plus there is a great view of the stars right outside. In the morning we saw two deer right outside the window!!
The room was very clean and spacious and the bed is comfortable. Would stay here again!

Great Getaway
Cute room with good heater. Service staff were so slammed but they all maintained a great spirit!
