Shortstay for business
Nice food, friendly helpful staff.
Room was smaller than expected and cramped.
And the mattress was very uncomfortable, not much sleep, which was not great when here to work long days.

The only problem, as such, was there was no hot water in the room what so ever. Not ideal, but the rest of the facilities were good.

TV shuts off and so does the internet. Or the TV has volume but no picture. Staff fixes and later it is down again, this happened the entire two nights.Parking is on street and subject to tickets. I had to go to the bar to use my laptop, a beer is 6 pounds. I went to the pub across the street for great internet and 2 pound beers.

Nice stay with good breakfast
For us it was about location. Good breakfast. It is an older establishment so expect things like a gap between the door and the frame to let light in from hallway and a smaller room. Clean. Staff was very conscientious.

Although this is a quaint old hotel there are some features that older travelers may not like. First there is no lift in this hotel, so unless you get a room on the bottom floor, you will be lugging your bags up some very narrow stairs. The hallways were narrow passageways to a small room; the door did not have a traditional handle, only a deadbolt-latch on the inside. It had a “hostel” vibe about the room. Downstairs was a tired version of old-world pub. The staff was friendly and understanding when we requested a cancellation/refund on our 3rd floor room

Staff were great! Breakfast was nice. Location is perfect either to escape Belfast, or for a start to the Causeway Coastal Route. Beautiful surroundings, and walkable to both public transit and the sites of Carrickfergus
