Fantastic stop for working in the north, enjoyed my stay thoroughly and the staff were so lovely. Fantastic whisky bar I made full use of on my stay. Wish I’d made use of the breakfast and dinner while I was there as it looked and smelled amazing. Would return here in future 100%

Friendly place. Clean. Lots of stairs though. I was passing through but you could easily stay here for 2/3 days as a base for exploring locally.

Property was off main street and lots of big trucks passing by all the time. My room was not facing the street so it was just rumbles. Property hosts were very friendly but room condition was not the best. Missing toilet paper roll holder. Shower is small and has dirty grout. Restaurant downstairs not open.

Property was clean, good for its age. The staff were very good and friendly.
But…the traffic noise was horrendous, I thought the trucks were coming into the room all night, earplugs a must.

Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. A quaint place with interesting layouts of the property.
Downside was our room was very close to the highway and was noisy
till about 10 pm and started again early in the morning.
Also they need darkening curtains as the street light was shining bright into the .

Pleasant surprise
I wasn't too sure what to expect from the photographs of the exterior of the hotel. What a pleasant surprise? A big beautiful room with a modern bathroom and,.last but not least, a great breakfast.

What i paid for I could have stayed at the Balmoral hotel in Edinburgh for the same price! Frozen food, was directed to get my own menue for dinner, booked the delux suite irrespective of how many calls i made it wasn't we had traffic lights outside the room, lorrys going past, i could have cried as this wasnt a presset for 60th birthday. I would avoid at all cost even the community couldn't believe the star rating on the website. This should be enough to explain my disappointment

Wish I had more to say about our stay
We didn’t end up staying here so this review is really just representative of our initial impressions. The property looked a little run down and not well maintained, the outdoor area in the courtyard was very cobwebby, for example, and when we keyed into our room it had flooded so we immediately told the manager and they sprang into action to address. It seemed that a pipe had burst, so the entire unit was affected. They offered us another room that would fit our group but it didn’t have a private bath so we found another place to stay for the night and was able to get a partial refund, so they did try their best to provide a solution. We felt really bad that they had that issue, the manager looked like she was about to cry. I can’t speak to the other features and amenities of the property.

Wasn't sure what to expect. I came for the Spirit of Speyside whisky festival as a late booking. Straight from checking in, Rob let me in early and made my stay comfortable and hassle free. He took y vegeteruan options in consideration in preparing breakfast. The bus stop is literally across the street. I would definitely stay here again

Worst Ever
Worst ever. No chef, no breakfast, manager had left, owner was moving to spain, felt every spring in the bed, felt every truck go past, shower leaked all over the floor and i probably could go on, tried to book out early, no staff and reception all locked up. Left key in post box and left. Would not recommend
