S.E.A Aquarium Singapore on Sentosa Island is one of Singapore’s finest family-friendly, all-weather attractions. It’s also one of the largest aquariums in the world, home to over 100,000 aquatic animals. There are creatures from all the world’s major oceans, with exhibits specially designed to recreate the conditions of their natural habitats.
The aquarium at Resorts World Sentosa has 10 zones and 50 different habitats, all within a huge venue. Due to its size and the many different scenes you can discover, we advise allowing at least 3 hours to explore Singapore’s best aquarium properly.
What to See at S.E.A Aquarium Singapore
S.E.A Aquarium Singapore is very entertaining, but also educate by teaching that small actions taken by humans can have a big impact on the world. The exhibits have interactive display boards, so you can learn more about what you’re seeing.
Walk through tunnels while bull sharks and giant manta rays swim alongside you and over your head. Other interesting exhibits contain cute seahorses playing in coral gardens and a selection of bizarre deep-ocean jellyfish. The shark zone contains over 200 different types of shark, including endangered species like the scalloped hammerhead.
You can’t leave S.E.A Aquarium Singapore without stopping in awe at the huge Open Ocean habitat. Thousands of diverse creatures circling and weaving through the deep blue – it’s as close to scuba diving on dry land as possible. To replenish or pick up some cool merchandise, there’s a restaurant with views of the exhibits and a souvenir shop connected to the aquarium.
To reach the aquarium from downtown Singapore, take the Sentosa Express from VivoCity shopping mall and get off at Waterfront station, the first stop.
