Highlights of Fashion Show
The weekends are a highlight at the Fashion Show mall because of the actual fashion shows that take place. These occur in the mall's atrium on a retractable runway where models show off the latest chic brands and seasonal outfits. It's sure to inspire you to pick up your own fashion statement at one of the many department or clothing stores in the mall. Besides the fashion show, the options to entertain yourself here are nearly endless.
With almost 250 retail shops and services on site, you can easily spend a day or more wandering the different stores looking for that perfect gift, souvenir, or artwork to fulfil your shopping urges. Entertainment events in the past have included family-friendly attractions like outdoor drive-in theatres in the car park showing the latest Hollywood blockbusters as well as some iconic and classic films.

History of Fashion Show
The Fashion Show mall opened in 1981 and was anchored by Diamond's, Neiman Marcus, Goldwater's, Bullock's, and Saks Fifth Avenue. Over the years, the anchor stores have changed and evolved, as they have at many malls, but today there are 8 anchor store locations in this 1.8 million-square-foot mall. The mall stayed the same until the early 21st century, when the west wing was expanded, a new east wing was added, an outdoor plaza was added, and a new food court was created on the third floor overlooking the Vegas Strip. The renovations cost $1 billion and added 200,000 square feet of retail space.
While the mall has seen its share of retail stores shuttering over the years, vacancies are always filled. In an era when malls are viewed as endangered, Fashion Show still thrives. It's an exciting and thrilling shopping experience in the heart of Vegas.
