The first thing you should know is that the property is mid way through being renovated so the place looks a bit of a mess but we had a clean comfortable room with everything you could need. the hotel is at the bottom of the main street in Katoomba so the shops and places to eat are close by. The staff were also very helpful.

Although part of place is in construction, the rooms thats open for public stay was clean and spacious. The place have their own vintage feels. TH he manager was kind enough to discuss to future of place and walk around the current place. Bit of tight car parking but we were lucky enough to get the car park right in front of our room. I booked the Clarendon because we were attending a birthday nearby and this was the closest to the location and as it happened, we were next door! So for us it was perfect as we could just walk to the party and not worry about taxis or ubers, it was also just the one night. The Motel itself is a little run down and it looks like there's work being done but also not sure when the work started or likely to finish. The room was comfortable, we had two queen beds in our room and the bedding was clean though the pillows were hard and not so comfortable. It was clean and we were fine to stay the night. The location though is fabulous, walking distance to the main street for food, shopping....all you need is just there. The location is fab, the motel is a little run down but if you're staying the weekend on the cheap, it's a great little stay.
