2 Aug 2026A good hotel but extortionate cost. I know rates were higher because of the Commonwealth Games but how can you justify that cost, particularly as the breakfast was nothing much to write home about. The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly an oriental lady.

18 Aug 2026Loud construction sounds during the visit, starting at 9 am. Was jet lagged and trying to get some extra sleep, so did not help.
The rooms are very old and a bit grim. The lobby is quite modern and a bit misleading. It turns out they are renovating (hence the noise).
I would hope they can keep the noise down early in the morning. Staff were pretty helpful and overall it was fine for a last minute booking on the cheap side.
