We received a free upgrade to a superior room. The room was spacious and clean. All our requests were handled promptly. The neighbourhood was safe with plenty of supermarkets, cafes and bakeries. There were some nice restaurants nearby but mostly we went to other parts of the city. Travelling to the airport with public transport is not so easy. Although the hotel is close to two metro stations we needed a few transfers between different lines.

Nice hotel with missing toilet door.

A very nice hotel and great staff, the only problem is that my room 502 does not have a door in the toilet/bathroom, if you go there somebody else sitting in the living room can simply observe all your experience up there, which is maybe ok but for some people requiring some privacy it is a disaster. What you have is a piece of glass like door that is drawn from side to side and vere covers the full stretch of the doorway, so if you drw it to the end of one side, the other side displays a two inch gap and the other way round.

I had a lot of basic things to sort out—directions, local tips, transport questions—and they were incredibly patient and helpful every time. What really stood out was their thoughtfulness on my departure day. My flight was early, and I was going to miss breakfast. Without me even asking, they packed me a picnic to take along—such a kind and unexpected gesture. The hotel itself was clean, modern, and well-located, but it’s the people who made the experience special. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality made all the difference. I’ll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Barcelona.
