A beautiful villa, well appointed and very friendly ,helpful staff. Felt very secure as a gated complex. Had issue at one point with noisey music from outside the complex and the manager was informed and we were promptly moved and upgraded despite the fact it was not their fault. It was a wrench to leave the villa to go out and we are ever lucky enough to return to Mauritus we would certainly stay there again.

Not a bad word to say about this place. Beautiful setting, right on the beach. Hotel and grounds are amazing and very well kept - garden areas with four poster beds are just heaven. Took a walk up past the Hilton - really glad we picked Sofitel. From what we could see, much nicer beach and garden areas - and cheaper too. Hotel staff are amazing, make you feel very welcome. On site restaurants are good, if pricey. But its only 400 rupees in a taxi into Flic & Flic where you can eat in some...

We have just returned from a fantastic stay at the Hilton in Mauritius. The hotel's about an hour's walk from the town of Flic en Flac, but there are always plenty of taxis outside the hotel that will take you there. The secluded location makes this a very relaxing place to stay. Our room was large, with the biggest bed ever and spacious marble bathroom. We had a beautiful view from our balcony over the palm trees and manicured lawns to the beach. One note of caution: our duvets and pillows were...

Everything about our stay was perfect! I spent a long time before we booked looking at all the different areas/hotels/reviews and everything and even made a spreadsheet to compare the best prices for our favourites- I have to say we couldn't have gone for anything better! We did see a few of the other hotels and nothing compared. Tamassa is just stunning and had a really nice relaxed feel. This is a charming boutique hotel with attentive and friendly staff. Janey the cook and her assistant Anushka prepare delicious meals, which are served directly overlooking the sea. Villa Anakao is not situated in a tourist spot. There is a nearby fish stall on a nearby beach which is worth a visit.
This hotel is certainly not posh. It is real Mauritius, but is nevertheless a great place to relax after a day of exploring the island, and a fraction of the cost of the much smarter big brand...

Myself and my new husband spent 10 days at this beautiful little gem, for our honeymoon. I can not rate it highly enough. I had my reservations after reading some of the negative reviews......but am pleased to say that our experience was perfect from beginning to end.
We were greeted by the hotel concierge, who was very helpful and supplied us with arrival cocktails and cold hand towels to cool us after our very long journey. I was overwhelmed to the point of tears of joy when we first...

This is a lovely comfortable apartment with an open kitchen, dining, living room area. It has everything you need for self catering and a washing machine.
The pool is very private, has loungers to relax on and just shared with upstairs guests. Only a few minutes walk to a few nice restaurants. There isn't a beach in this area...not that we could find anyway but a nice area to visit for a few days.

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Tamarin
Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Tamarin is during June, July, and September, when hotel rates are typically lower. To fully appreciate the area's key landmarks, historical sites, and cultural experiences, a stay of at least 5 to 6 days is recommended. This duration allows you to explore romantic beaches, family-friendly activities, and engage with the local culture, all while enjoying great value for money. With budget-friendly options available, visitors can make the most of their trip without breaking the bank. Additionally, prices for accommodation may drop during these months, making it an even more attractive choice for those travelling on a budget.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover hotel deals for Tamarin, begin by exploring the Dealsopens in new window or Last-Minute Dealsopens in new window sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates as your travel date approaches. To maximise savings, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications for flash sales and special promotions. Hotels.com can keep you informed about changes in price and availability, while the Smart Shoppingopens in new window tool within the app allows you to compare room rates and amenities. This way, you're more likely to see the best options for your last-minute getaway.
Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your dates could help you save on your stay at a hotel in Tamarin. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels may provide a more personalised experience and occasionally better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price leans towards the higher end, we’ll suggest more affordable dates, increasing the likelihood that you’ll secure a better deal.
Consider your location: Staying nearer to key attractions or city centres may provide convenience, but it often comes at a higher price. For more affordable options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and accessibility to the places you intend to visit. You might also look into independent hotels located further out, which are usually likely to be more affordable while offering a more authentic experience.
