Fantastic Little Budget Hotel
This place is much nicer than the poor reviews make it seem. The rooms are basic but adequate with a good shower and nice A/C. Our room (#5) had a private terrace overlooking the river, with a small table, two chairs, and a hammock. The location is fantastic, just a short 2-3 minute walk from the main drag of El Tunco, but far enough to avoid all the noise. I'd definitely recommend Posada Luna to any budget travelers.

Beautiful hotel
Beautiful hotel. The room had AC which was a bonus and a beautiful balcony. The staff were really friendly and it is in the perfect location. After travelling hostels for the past month this was a lovely change and we felt very comfortable here.

I stayed For 2 nights and my room was great for the price. My room did happen to be right next to the check in office on the first floor, so it felt like i could Hear everything, but people weren’t obnoxiously loud. The AC in the room worked excellent! Super close convenient location, walkable to the beach and nightlife!

Overall decent and comfy
They let us check in early which was great. The room and bed were good too. The AC was definitely appreciated as it was so hot while we were in El Tunco! Only issue is they recently started charging before on hotels.com but didn’t know we had paid and the staff at the front had asked us to pay again and it became a big mission to work through that with us not speaking Spanish them not speaking English. Otherwise though, it’s a nice place, slightly more pricey than other private places we saw closer to the beach but overall we still enjoyed our stay.

Staff seemed very friendly. Closeby to everything in Tunco and the beach. I stayed the day before the presidential elections so there was no alcohol allowed to be sold anywhere in the country the day before and after the election. So my experience was very quiet compared to normal weekends.

Stayed in room #2, before 6:30 am people where outside my room talking loudly, cursing every 3rd word, most of them were hotel workers, out of the days I stayed there the last 2 days they had lots of noise due to construction, they didn’t give no notice of this, so the water would work off and on. They decided to keep the hotel open during construction, did not closed it, so they would have to absorb the losses, and just past them to us, the hotel guests, now you are advised, of this hotel management

Seems like this place hasn’t had a recent review in a while. long story short, I would stay again, The 24/hr front desk reception is super friendly. super walkable from the main night life of El Tunco. Check it Out! A/C, cold water showers, private deck backyard.

6/10 Good

I like how close the property was to the beach El tunco and the staff were very nice and attentive all the time. I did not like that the place was no better than a motel and the price was too high. Did not have warm water, the view was terrible, no TVS and kitchen and fridge was shareable. Also Expedia did not charge me beforehand and had to pay when I got there

2/10 Poor

The woman who works during the day is lovely and super helpful, but the young boy who watched the property on our second night was up drinking and blasting music with friends all night. The whole place was wasted, singing and screaming until 3am and there were no real adults managing or supervising the mess. I was travelling with my young daughter and neither of us got any sleep that night, which made for a very rough flight home that day. If they hired responsible night staff and tossed a fresh coat in the rooms, this place could have been lovely, but there were no excuses for what happened during our stay.
