The hotel was fine & met all my needs. The lobby is beautiful & the breakfast was fantastic. I was disappointed with check in being so slow & the general condition of my room. The bathtub was chipped & had multiple scratches, the bed sheet has a whole in & the finishing of the paint work was a little shabby. Good local for use of public transport.

A wee bit disappointed.
For the price of the room, I was at least expecting bottled drinking water, that coulda saved me a trip down to the shops. The hotel provided shampoo conditioner and body shower liquid soap. But left out the hand and body lotion. Overall, not worth the what I paid for the room.

A downgrade from when I stayed precovid
Stayed here way back 2017 and 2018. Comparatively the standard has dropped a lot. Despite its eco-friendliness there's no longer any bottled waters but desalination water from the bathroom into the room machine. I would not touch desalination water at all and even my friend's dog in HK would only drink Watson's bottled water and boiled water for humans. My own home water is filtered even in Australia and boiled despite most people drinking from the tap. Ended up going to level 4 to fill bottled water from the gym. Interesting the AI assisted alarm/room service etc, getting the front desk was troublesome and housekeeping just told press the emergency call. Pro. Nespresso which is pretty standard in hotels I stay.

As we entered the room the smell of moist hit us. We got a new room who smelled more clean, but was just us moist. This hotel is so moist that the floors are bending, the furnitures have big stings and are actually swelling. To sleep in wet bedsheets was quite uncomfortable and gave us running noses after two days. I will not even begin to think about how much mould it was in this room. Even if the service was good and the employees nothing but friendly I could not recommend this stay for anyone.

Orchard Hotel is very conveniently located to the major shopping district and close to the subway station. It was very easy to get to major attractions from the hotel. If we needed anything, they were very prompt in addressing it and the housekeeping staff were very friendly. Just a couple of things i) I am not sure if I liked the "AI generated" call system ii) the bathroom (especially the toilet) was a little outdated but it was all right. Overall, it is not always easy to find a hotel that can accommodate a family in one room, so this was a great find.
