There is no amenities whatsoever.
There is NO amenities in this place. Nothing to drink, no bar, no restaurant. No coffee for the coffee machine the room. And it is not a motel on the sode of the road... C close to $400 for a place that is in competition with kMotel 6 .

Our room was beautiful
We were very impressed with everything about The Lombardi Hotel. They were very gracious toward us and our room was beautiful! The hotel had an old world charm yet the decor of the accommodations had a modern flair with many design elements and details pleasing to the senses. It lifted our spirits staying there. We were happy to be able to walk to MOMA and other destinations nearby.We hope to stay there again.

Good value midtown resting place.
The hotel is well placed with good communications in all directions. We have stayed many times over the years and have always found it very good value for money even though breakfast is no longer available. The rooms are exceptionally large for Manhattan and generally well equipped. However, the hotel and rooms are showing signs of age and general refurbishment would not come amiss.

I would expect more.
I've stayed twice within the last 3 weeks. I stayed ther mainly because of it's proximity to a doctor that both my wife and myself needed to see. Another reason we chose the hotel was because the were supposed to have refrigerator and freezer. The freezer did not work. And that was required so that we could keep things frozen for after the procedure. We had to keep asking for ice (which was not recommended or conducive to the procedure). Also, the beds are horrendous. Worst mattresses I've slept on since the 70's. They also charge a resort fee that is supposed to cover bottles of water. There were no bottles of water on my first stay. There were on the second stay though. The air-conditioning the second stay also di not work. Both stays there was a coffee machine in the room but no coffee to be found anywhere. Our second stay, the drinking glasses in the cabinet were full of fingertips and grease. Lastly, on the first stay the bellhop brought our luggage and to then be checked down. When it ca time to load the car, then ever put our wedge pillow that was needed for on of the procedures. We got back to Scranton before discovering it. Luckily for us, it was there in the lost in found waiting for us when we got back two weeks later. I seriously doubt if we'll ever stay again, even id we do need the convenience to our doctor. That last thing I will say is this, I never write review for hotels that I stay at. I really felt I had to this time. You have been forewarned.

Having lived in NYC for 20 years and then having moved away, I always feel a little Sad to stay in a hotel when I visit. Well, NOT ANY MORE! The Lombardy Hotel was so fabulous. Enormous room for a “studio”, two super comfy queen beds, plenty of room for spreading out, quintessential Uber-powerful NYC water pressure(!!!), nice furnishings, small kitchenette. A round dining/work station table with four chairs (only, just two mugs, two plates). Even great towels. Quiet building. You can tell that this is a partial residence. It’s run like it. I have a new favorite spot to stay in in NYC!
