We love staying at this hotel. This is the second time we have stayed here and we look forward to staying here again in the future. It’s in a good location centrally within Chiang Mai and is tucked away from the Main Street. The rooms have a good layout and the showers have good water pressure.

Great location within Old City of Chiang Mai and is literally one block away from the famous Sunday night market! Room is thoughtfully designed and made the most use of space and the bed is very comfortable. The hotel provides free filtered water and free fruits throughout the day. Oh and don’t get me started on wonderful, home-cooked and changing breakfasts every morning with wonderful staff! What else could you ask for? Highly recommended and if I’m back in Chiang Mai, I will definitely stay with POR Thapae again!

The hotel is amazing, very well located, close to several attractions and great restaurants, the staff is sensational, always willing to help you. The room is very modern and comfortable, not to mention the free beverages in the lobby and rooms. A very nice environment, staff, rooms, comfortable beds. The breakfast was to die for. I loved the free water, as much as you can eat fruits 24/7. Walkable distance to dining options, Sunday night market right in front of the hotel. Nothing can beat such convenience. Some pple commented about the noise, but I didn't notice or feel disturbed with the night market location. I would definitely lodge in this hotel if I ever came back to Chiang Mai. Now you know why they're always booked out. HANDS DOWN THE BEDT HOTEL IN CHIANG MAI!!!!!!

Our tonight stay here was phenomenal. The staff was incredibly friendly, the amenities were plentiful, fresh fruit, and snacks available 24/7, all cold drinks from the cooler in the lobby. Pool area was a wonderful place to enjoy breakfast. The breakfast buffet had a plethora of choices to suit everyone’s taste. We used the laundry service, which was also spot on . . Although the location is a little bit out of the way we found it charmingly secluded. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The staff were so nice and they were always willing to help us out when were trying to navigate the City. Chang Mai has been our favourite place to stay this trip and we believe it is due to our stay at this hotel. Vanity mirror in room was great. Many hotels are too dark for detailed skin care or makeup, this hotel did not have that issue. Staff was very kind and accommodating, beyond expectation. Breakfast was much better than more places with a good variety of bread types, meat types, vegetable types, rice, eggs, leaf wrapped things. Im at the Stay Nimman hotel right now but i miss the breakfast at POR Thapae Gate haha. Very good. They also had some complimentary snacks/fruit and water. Parking is not easy so we met our drivers at the end of the driveway, no big deal. I would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely enjoyed my stay at Por Thapae Gate. Tucked away in a quiet street but yet just a stone's throw away from most tourist attractions. Free refreshments & snacks 24/7 is a godsend. Shout-out to lovely Ben for being so helpful. She sorted out my various day-tour bookings and gave me the low-down on local transport which translated to considerable savings for me. Thank you again for making my maiden visit to chiangmai wonderfully unforgettable!
