Manchester Jury's Inn
The hotel was lovely. Not much helpful information from the front staff though - we had to work things out ourselves and find our way around Manchester. At breakfast however I thought it was not good for guest to cut their own bread - touching it with their hands while cutting it into slices. Imagine the germs!!! Over-all the room was nice and comfortable. It would have been nice to have a safe and possibly a mini fridge as well. The area was grand - it would have been good if the front staff gave us tips on how best to walk into the city centre because it took us a while to figure that one out - did lots of walking and got lost on one day!!

Faulty Towers
Popped into this hotel to check the booking was fine for the night given we had 4 rooms booked. Told us we only had 3 rooms booked! Wrong!! I booked 4... why would I lie? Anyway after spending 30 minutes trolling through emails and looking like a room thief i found the email .. The mistake was 3 rooms booked under my first name where's has one started with my middle name due to the cards I used to book with. However all where booked under my last name which is not a common name Surely an efficient receptionist would of spotted This? Nup not this one. .. then I was told that only 3 rooms had been paid for? Errrrm no, and another half hour going through emails to find the pre pay voucher to prove id paid for all 4! "Oh ok maybe we just haven't requested payment yet from the agent like that's my problem??? Also at this point being told the twin room is booked was in fact a double room with a double bed!!! Errr don't think so, it's two lads sharing and I booked a twin, two single beds not a double. 30 minutes later going through emails to yet again to prove this fact!!! Like I lie about these things because I want to stay at this place free and not pay .... Very incompetent staff - Stay at your own risk!

No noise insulation in the room. Up whole Night
I booked a room for the night on the 2nd floor facing the street. The noisiest hotel stay I have had. I could hear people speaking outside my door as though there was no door there. The floor boards were loud above me. There were people speaking down below on the street, the window was shut and I could still hear everything at 5am in the morning. The noise pollution was horrendous and disrupted my day due to lack of sleep. The heating was also not working and was given a blower which I had to turn off when going to bed for safety and to stop the room from getting too hot at night.

Exceptional 10.0
Nice quiet hotel
On arrival there was a delay in checking in which ment we were stood around for about 15 minutes waiting. Once checked in we headed to the room which was lovely. Nicely present, very clean and bed was super comfy. Shower very powerful and the water was nice and hot. Hotel check out time is actually 12pm not 11am as stated on here and the hotel staff were not aware of the free 2 hour late check out which was offered on expedia. I spoke with the night staff and showed them the email stating this and they were happy to allow us to check out at 1pm at no extra cost. Hotel is within walking distance to the city centre and shops. No hotel parking but there are car parks near by however these are expensive (£24 for 24 hours) the hotel does offer a discount on this parking but it is only 15% off which is disappointing. Generally a nice hotel, best nights sleep we have had in ages and would definitely stay again.

Very good 8.0
I liked the room design. I also found the room warm and comfortable. Breakfast was a little disappointing and I do not think that would be worth the £11 promotional price offered on arrival. There are plenty of places in the area around the hotel which will offer better.
