4/10 Fair

We travelled in 2 cars as we live in different areas. It cost £15 EACH for overnight parking! This was half the cost of the room! Sufdenly a £125 stay became a £185 stay. It is also the first hotel I have ever stayed in with no coffee/tea facilities in the room, which meant it had to be purchased at the bar downstairs - again, additional cost. The room was booked as a Queen room, and the bed wasnt comfortable, and they'd made up the sofa bed too, so the room was more cramped than it needed to be. For a 4 star hotel, I was disappointed.

Good stay at Crowne Plaza Redding
Evening meal not very good and same set menu for both nights of our stay however chef did let us adapt so we had an alternative. Canapes were almost non existant in the premier lounge but drinks were good. Overall we had a good stay and our premier balcony room was brilliant and staff were good. Seemed expensive rate for car parking at £15 a night!!!

Changes
Ive stayed here before and they have made changes, £15 per day parking is unbelievable, business lounge is no longer worth the extra money, only allowed 3 drinks and the " aperitif " is now 2 small plates of quiche. Staff are still amazing and very friendly.

6/10 Good

Lack of staff and smiles made stay mediocre
Service would have been better if there were more staff. Evening dinner service seemed to be run by one member of staff who also served the bar! No option for valet parking and no option for free parking. No help with luggage we had a lot. Luggage cart could not fit into the small lift well and only one person could squeeze in with the luggage. On checking in one person was at reception and 2 others were busy on a computer ignoring all guests that were checking in. I would not recommend this hotel. You are in a service industry only 2 of the staff we encountered came close.
