This hotel is showing its age. Corridors are dark and unwelcoming. Rooms are rather drab and tired with minor plumbing issues in the bathroom and grubby grout/sealant. That said, it was nice and quiet and the bed was quite comfy.

My family stayed just one day and night, its was great. We had a small Bar lunch which was nice over looking the lake in the sunshine when we arrived. My little girl, who is Autistic was treated with respect and kindness by all the staff we met, they helped accomodate her needs to use the pool, and provided us a FOC pint of milk to put in our small fridge in our room. I never leave reviews of any kind, but felt the hotel went the extra mile to help us, and made our short stay fun and memorable, it deserved a mention.

Overall this was a good stay and I would recommend the hotel. The staff were very helpful. The room was spacious and clean. The pool and sauna were good. The most only downside would be the lack of air conditioning. Even with the windows open and the fans (provided by the hotel) the room was still warm. But again this would only happen on a very hot day.

6/10 Good

Unfortunately their was no air-conditioning in tge room. It did have a fan but still very hot as the window was a safety one. The swimming pool is small so don't be too excited. The meal prices are not competitive. Best to go out just over the bridge at back of garden. Local pubs and restaurants are not charging for children's meal. Staff are very kowledgeable of local area. Very friendly staff. Just a shame the hotel needs updating.
