Location is good and the bed was comfortable. However, having used this hotel for over 30 years, it desperately needs an update. Terrible smell of damp in the main stairwell that can pervade the the reception and public area. Leonardo charge for parking overnight where previous operators did not charge guests. Apart from the barman who was very friendly and efficient, staff appeared disinterested. We weren't even asked how our stay was. Our bedroom wasn't serviced during our 2 night stay. We are unlikely to stay here again.

The room was spacious, but badly let down by the bathroom. The shower was so old that it had hardly any power, lots of mould around the bath taps and I had a real problem turning the shower off . The windows are only single glazed,so traffic can be heard constantly. Easy spacious parking. Polite and helpful staff.
