23 Oct 2026The Imperial Hotel is in an excellent position. It is clean and the staff were all helpful. We had a standard room which had a comfortable bed, the bathroom was a disappointment and needs an up Grade. Parking was charged at £6 a night.

As with most large old Hotels on the coast a little tired and in need of some TLC but good value for money considering breakfast included and Bar with a view onto the promenade and large outdoor seating area. Large parking area for additional £6 per day.

17 Oct 2026We travelled with our little ones so needed a decent sized room. We have stayed at Imperial many times, and it has always been fantastic. The rooms in the old part of the building are a very good size, a lovely balcony and really functional for us as a family. The staff are welcoming and try to achieve all we ask for. Parking is straightforward too, right outside the building. Access to the beach and the promonade is easy, as well as to the town centre too.

The staff were pleasant and helpful.
There was a good selection for breakfast, including plenty of fresh fruit. Personally I felt the bread was a cheap sliced option (wholemeal or granary would be nice)

12 Oct 2026Nice old hotel, great positioning the sea front and substantial gardens. Had double superior sea front room which had coffee/tea biscuits and bottled water. Room s are a little dated but comfortable and warm with great views. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Dog friendly and they do a great job of ensuring it's kept clean and dog odour free. Like all British seaside hotels could do with a lick of paint and some small maintenance but overall a nice place to stay.

13 Sept 2026The Hotel is very nice, just beginning to show its age. This Hotel is used by many people for many events and is a hub for the locals. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. The view we had from our Superior room was amazing. The hotel is nice and quiet so we had a good rest. Would recommend and am booking for next year now. Great value for money. Dog friendly too.

Breakfast was plentiful and constantly filled up! The breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful!
We would definitely stay again if visiting Exmouth, the position of the hotel is ideal !

16 Oct 2026I paid £140 a night for a Superior Double with Sea View. I got a balcony and a sea view but the room was by no means ‘superior’. It was nothing like the web site photos. I complained that it was a Standard room but was told that it was Superior. It certainly wasn’t worth the money.
The breakfast was good though
