2 Sept 2026The attendant in the swimming pool was a lovely girl who did tell us her name but we are getting old and stupid! She was there for locking up. WE hope to meet her again on our next visit latear sthis month.

12 Oct 2026Little things were annoying, for example returning from room to main block depended on a fire door left unlocked. If not open, a long walk round in the rain on the path or over a muddier short cut.
Room was fine.
Whilst breakfast was ok, a standard buffet, dinner the evening before for our group (we had been offered a limited menu) was poor. Chips were inedible, fish overcooked and greasy, pie was stodgy. Calamari were more likely battered squid rings.
Generally the hotel felt tired.
Not sure if always the case, but we were on a flight path from about 5am …..

21 Sept 2026The woodland cabin accommodation was lovely comprising of lounge, bedroom and Bathroom. A, queen bed with no option of a twin and a small but adequate fridge.
Highly recommended to book spa treatments online before your stay, we were lucky as there had been some cancellations. Residents only have access 7-9am and 8-9pm! otherwise its £15 pp additional charge. Breakfast plentiful but advise arriving early as items were running out fast and lack of staff caused delays. There is a restaurant/bar, food average nothing exceptional and quite pricy.

Stayed for 3 nights, bathroom needs upgrading and for the amount paid expected better, fire alarm went off in the middle of the night on one night, no cold water the next evening and when it did come on it was contaminated, ran the taps for a while but didn't clear all of it and got into eyes when taking a shower which was not pleasant and caused red eye !

5 Jun 2026The bed was not very comfortable, a little lumpy and soft. The wifi didn't seem to reach my room and there was a power cut in the morning!
The staff are delightful and very helpful so it could just be an unfortunate room location. The place itself is charming.

Cheap plastic flowers everywhere. The room had a weird smell, when you look closer it was dirty, cleaner left dirty cloths in our room. It was nice that we got to play tennis and were provided with free rackets and balls. Jacuzzi looked green :/
The hotel looked tired and like it needed a good deep clean tbh, a shame because the grounds are beautiful and the nature surrounding is really special.
