Absolutely beautiful hotel with a wonderful and caring staff. The staff were always there to help with our luggage, getting a car, or answering any questions we had. VERY nice place but a bit worn down. I stayed here for a week with my 22 yo daughter and we enjoyed it a lot. The restaurant is beautiful but breakfast and other food is so-so. But in terms of estetica this is top notch. With the reduced price (we payed approx 200 USD/night it is worthwhile.

First of all embracing the amazing jungle view from the river front villa is amazing, also the room is huge and the breakfast is among the best in Bali island. Amy and Sugara are quite professional and they were able to meet all our requirements in a timely fashion. I found laundry service fee kind of expensive but it would not matter considering all the positive aspects. Its a quite hotel close to ubud market area and other attractions. If i visit the island again, Kupu Kupu Barong would be a great place to stay again.

We had a private pool with the river view villa, and it was beautiful. The villa was cleaned, great view, and amazing customer service. The staff are always friendly and will do whatever they can to accommodate your needs. Our water is always stocked, and when we need extra, they bring you extras. On top of that, you have your own dedicated butler that you can easily call by dialing #3 on your villa's phone. The free breakfast buffet was amazing, especially compared to the free breakfast that these American hotels offer. Personally, Kupu Kupu Barong set the standard for free breakfast at a very high level for me now. If we go back to Bali, we will definitely stay here again.

Our stay at kupu kupu barong was beyond amazing. We were stunned at how wonderful our room was (with its own plunge pool) and loved the very friendly staff. We only ate at the restaurant once for dinner which was pretty good, the breakfast buffet had a good variety but f Balinese and “western” food. But the best part of our stay was our butlers Sugi and Sumadi, not to mention the gentlemen I called “everywhere guy” because he was always there when we needed him (I’m so sorry I forgot your name). They were both friendly and attentive. They predicted our requests, offered great tips and went above beyond for our needs. I can’t wait to have an excuse to go back.
