Hotel fine. Ridiculous price for breakfast
€100 for breakfast is just ridiculous so we did not eat at the hotel.

6/10 Good

Great apart from building works
Hotel and Room were good, unfortunately there was no notification of the refurbishments taking place which meant the reception and dinning areas where severely affected.

Excellent hotel, location and room..
Staff were friendly and helpful, lobby was being renovated but that wasn't a problem. Room was very nice and new but - the bathroom/shower door are see-thru/glass which can be uncomfortable when sharing a room, even a partner/spouse. Loved the hotel , hated the bathroom configuration. Great location in town, easy to walk to everything

It was exactly what we wanted: it was in the best location for the Menin Gate and the In Flanders Fields Museum.which is what we went to see. There was plenty of variety of restaurants and bars. It was a safe neighbourhood.

Armistice Day Satisfied
Enjoyed the in room coffee maker, hot water kettle, refrigerator, and in room safe. Bed was very comfortable and sheets top quality. Bathroom and toilet worked well for us. All was very clean upon arrival. Hallways clean smelling and never crowded. Staff spoke English very well and was very helpful. Hotel was easy to locate from the town square and is in an excellent location for walking the town.

8/10 Very good

Clean friendly and central location. Breakfast vastly overpriced so I did not eat in the hotel. Local restaurant offered breakfast for 10 euro. Air conditioning in the room minimum temperature set too high at 18degrees

4/10 Fair

Good hotel but let down by design
The hotel is in a very good position adjacent to the very centre of Ypres. I didn't want to park my car in the open car park along the road as directed by the receptionist (due to cost) so I parked in the underground car park with direct lift access to the hotel reception. This was the most convenient, with cases and also the most secure but was expensive at 20 Euro for 24 hours. As it has direct hotel access why isn't it cheaper for hotel guests? The bedroom was large and modern but, strangely, had a sink in the middle of it. This was too shallow to shave in and did not have a plug anyway. Also the tap was too low to allow the electric kettle to be filled. The toilet and shower were both good but all doors were mirrored which must be a nightmare to keep clean. The T.V. did not have any English channels and, during our stay, the WiFi was not working which was annoying as my partner needed to do an hour's revision for a course and the room was set up with a desk and chair so business travellers beware. I reported this but the receptionist just acknowledge the fact that she already knew about it. Surely in this level of hotel there should be a call out arrangement in place to get this sort of thing fixed The aircon also was not (reported but the receptionist said we need to turn it off and back on. Needless to say that didn't work! There were signs up in the lobby stating that the bar was open in the evening which it never did. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable.
