We spent 3 days at Layana and loved every minute. The room was great, clean and spacious. The pool area is great and very close to the beach which we loved. It was easy to go between pool and beach and there were enough beach chairs which is a huge plus. Breakfast buffet has everything you could wish for and lovely view next to the beach. We also had dinner twice at the restaurant and loved the food and the possibility to sit next to the beach and enjoy the sunset. The location of the hotel is great and Long Beach is just beautiful. Great for morning or evening walks. Hotel staff was very friendly.

We stayed 3 nights at Pimalai and booked 3 nights here but checked out a day early due to weather and boredom. There’s nothing particularly wrong with this resort; the beach is nice, the breakfast is extensive, the villa is quite nice, the staff are reasonably friendly (the pool staff in particular were great). However, if you’re going to Koh Lanta, Pimalai was a step up in just about every way so it’s hard to advise staying at Layana unless you prefer the more lively location.

The hotel was terrific. The staff were so pleasant and helpful. The food and drink were very good. Everything was clean and well organized. The daily cleaning of the rooms was very good. Transportation to and from the airport was a real benefit. The excursions they booked for us were first rate. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Great beach. Hotel is quite small but overall exceed our expectations. It’s pricey but worth it. The room is very comfy and big. We arrived at 1.30pm for check in but the room wasnt ready and will be delayed past the check in time so the staff let us wait by the restaurant and enjoy the complimentary food or drink. Excellent property and service. We arrived on a stormy day, the sea was really rough. Ko Lanta was the final stop in our 30 day journey through Thailand. Our hopes were high and we were not disappointed even in the rainy season. Franck the manager took care of all our needs including suggesting a private boat ride to the Ko Lanta National Park and it was the highlight of our trip. Room service, the restaurant and the food were excellent. We rented an Ocean Villa. It was spacious and luxurious. This property is the best on the island.
