The staff, the staff, the staff. The Nannies were wonderful, the entire dining staff was great, and although the property needs some upgrades it is lovely. This was my son’s (13 yr old) favorite of many travel trips

Ideal for a peaceful restful stay
Lovely boutique hotel with family friendly service. Beach on property is not the best for swimming but great beaches are literally next door. Food and service is great, with rooms/suites conveniently fitted with small fridge and microwave. Furniture could use some updates. Nanny service and activities for kids is a big plus.

Wonderful vacation. We were welcomed with a plate of food and a fresh drink upon arrival after traveling for 12 hours. It was such a thoughtful touch and set the tone for our entire time. Many reviews comment on the dated property. It is very functional, very very clean and comfortable. I would not let those reviews deter you. A very wholesome fun family vacation and I will definitely be back.

Our nanny Deborah was amazing, she kids loved her. The owner is such a kind, down to earth person. The staff were incredible, they made us feel welcome and were so sweet with our kids. The food was delicious. It's a perfect destination if you are travelling with young children and although the property is quite outdated (but very clean), we would love to come back.

FDR is a family oriented resort. It's a bit dated, and is closer to what I now have learned is the vacated Hedonism 1 resort. However, the food is excellent, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. There's are simple amenities there. Of note I did the SCUBA with Mr.Fruity and that was a highlight.
It's far away from Negril and Mo Bay so didn't really experience much of a night life, but on this particular venture it was more about health and serenity than that. I took a car over to 9 mile and Dunns River. Not to many local things to get into.
That said. I had a great ocean view room. And it was a very pleasant trip. Thanks FDR.

This property was a beautiful way to see the island for the first time. Lovely surroundings showing you the beauty and natural land of Jamaica. Staff is beyond wonderful helpful and very friendly. This is a kid friendly resort with nannies on the property to tend to those who have families and will give you an authentic Jamaican experience.

Our family has been coming to FDR for years. The staff is so friendly and just amazing! There are lots of fun activities, especially for kids. Everyone loves the 100 foot waterside, playing pool volleyball, hermit crab races, and large pool to name a few. Even with the hurricane that hit the day before, staff did an incredible job, cleaning up the property and Working together to ensure we (21 of us) had a great time. We highly recommend this place… The nannies are the best!!!

This is a sanctuary for family vacations. I loved everything about this place. The staff is A1, they are friendly and very helpful. The nany service is just what i needed. My kids fell in love with what they experienced. My husband and i were able to relax knowing our kids were having fun and were taken care of.

The snorkeling a is fantastic as is the ride on the glass bottom boat. Guests are like family most people we met have come here for at minimum 5-20 years. Lots of repeat customers speaks for itself.
