First time,
Amazed of the cleanliness, safety of the property, food was amazing, the only thing i have to comment was after checking in they the front desk gave us a coupon to eat dinner or lunch, so we did choose dinner , we went to the restaurant and got seated, there was a buffet i ask the waitress if we can start, she said to wait about 15 to 20 min we were waiting like a fool no water was served and still waiting until the waitress came back and said, we can order ala carte, my kids order and a guy water ask ask if we would like the buffet, by then I'm frustrated just eat a little and left my kids i lost my appetite. My say they should have communicated before we were send to the restaurant seating looking like a fool. That's unacceptable.

On the plus side, the staff was absolutely wonderful, the breakfast was good, and the pool and beach area was a wonderful place to relax. The room itself and bed was comfortable albeit a bit dated. I would definitely return again, perhaps with a bit more time to enjoy all of the beauty the area has to offer. On the less than positive side, the Movenpick was clearly a top tier property in its day, but it is still suffering from some adverse impacts from a cyclone a few years back. The beach club is closed and doesn't look close to opening, much of the property has boarded up windows, and there is a mildew smell in the halls.

I know it's often easier to give all 5 Stars, and not even read the Categories, but i did read them and Movenpick Exceeded in all Areas. Everything about my stay was Picture Perfect. My room was Elagant. The Property Immaculate. And the food Divine. Sadly, I'm on a No Meat Diet, so i was limited on what i could eat, but surprisingly every Vegetarian Meal the served was so delicious i truly forgot i was dieting. But of everything, what i Truly enjoyed the most was the Staff. Their Kindness and Attentiveness made my stay at a Five Star Resort feel like a Wholesome B&B. Ive been to nice places that 'Care For' their guest. But this Staff 'Cares About' their Guest. I look forward to my Return.

5 star customer service (even I bit too much because the hotel was quite empty so staff weren’t busy, everything someone would pass by all staff members would greet and ask if something was needed). Things that could be improved: I was only there for 1 day, went to order a fresh juice and they didn’t have mangoes available which is a bit strange for a 5 star hotel in the Philippines. Also, the beach and pool are all covered in shade from 3pm which is a bit annoying (specially being only 1 day and check in being at 3pm) due to how tall the buildings of the hotel are and the direction of the sun (so if you want to make use of the pool/beach, the morning is your best option). Breakfast is not included so if you want you can reserve the day before so it’s cheaper rather than on the day, but they ask you to pay for it in advance which I found a bit weird? It’s is a good quality breakfast but extremely high price even for what it is. There’s also some construction going on by the beach which is a little frustrating due to noise and view. Please note the “sea view” room it’s a trap! You would have to book “ocean view” in order to actually have view to the beach! Got a free upgrade which was nice but annoying when I got there and was faced with a view to the next building and only a little bit of an actual sea view. The hotel massage service/spa is an absolute rip off - there’s a really nice spa right outside the hotel 1 min walk instead. Sunrise from balcony of ocean view is top!
