The Schooner Inn is in a great location. It is on the beach and all rooms face the boardwalk and have balconies. It is next to Rudee inlet and the Marina. The motel shows some aging but the rooms are clean and in good condition which makes it a real value considering their rates.

I had an amazing stay at the Schooner Inn. The staff were very helpful and respectful. I got excellent assistance from Janet and Shawn. This actually about my fourth time staying here. I love the local off being at the end of the boardwalk with less traffic and congestion. I will be back and stay here again. Thanks Royal Robinson

First time in Virginia Beach. The Schooner Inn is so well situated to enjoy the beach, boardwalk and local restaurants. Try the chef's burger at Big Sam's Inlet Cafe. The staff at the Schooner Inn was so helpful. The view of the sunrise, surfers, swimmers, walkers, bikers, and boats from my window and balcony never ceased to please.

We had a couple of issues when checking in because the toilet wasn’t functioning and we had to move to another room, but they accommodated us immediately without any issues. The location is the best with the beach just steps away. We’ve been staying at Schooner for 20 years and it’s still our favorite.

My poolside room was in need of renovation (just old and a bit run-down looking), but clean and comfortable. Didn't use the balcony because it faced onto the parking lot and road and so was noisy -- but the sunset view over the marina in the distance was nice! My friend's ocean view room was much nicer ('tho the balcony was tiny)! I loved the location at the southern end of the boardwalk and near the inlet where people fished. I'll be back!

Older hotel was obviously renovated but with useful additions. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and whirlpool was exquisite. So nice to have plates and silverware in room so you can have some meals in room on balcony. Loved it!
