Upon arriving at the hotel after a lengthy flight, I was informed that due to being late for check-in, my reservation had been canceled. The hotel staff mentioned that I would be charged the full price for my stay even though I had not yet checked in, and that I would need to make a completely new booking. This situation was unprecedented for me as a frequent traveler who has stayed at various accommodations. I believe that if I have paid for my stay and am only slightly late for check-in, my reservation should still be honored. Furthermore, after rebooking and paying again, I encountered issues with the room such as malfunctioning lights and a strong damp odor. Consequently, I decided to leave prematurely with a day still left on my reservation.
