Ok hotel in RiverNorth
For the rate paid this is an ok hotel. Front desk staff were very friendly and efficient. Housekeeping also polite and efficient. Compact rooms by US standards. Good free WiFi. No coffee maker in the room, but they offer free coffee before 10am downstairs in a small place in the same building.

Great location with a fantastic bed!
The hotel is in an excellent location which means it is easy to get to all the local attractions. There are some great places to eat locally such as True Food Kitchen and there's a Wholefoods almost opposite. I walked nearly everywhere from the hotel. On the whole, the hotel was quiet and well maintained and my room was cleaned immaculately each day. The room is small (which is fine because I was by myself) but it would be a squish with more than one person. There was also minimal storage space so that's something to be aware of. The complimentary toiletries smelt delicious and the bed was super comfortable! The only downside was the intermittent WIFI - I spoke to reception about it but they said nothing was wrong with it. It was fine whilst I was using it but as soon as I stopped, I would have to log in again. It was more irritating than anything since I didn't need to be completing any work.

Just too small for comfort.....
My wife and I booked a 3 night break in Chicago and chose this hotel based on location and cost. We had read all of the posts and comments especially about how small some of the rooms were and weren't too concerned as we intended to use it only as a place to sleep and shower. Despite this, we were staggered at the size of our room, only just big enough for a double bed with barely room to walk around it. Room amenities are basic, no in room tea or coffee making facilities, no fridge. A small closet with 3 hangers and an iron. On the plus side, the bathroom/shower was modern and worked well, we had no complaint about that. The hotel has a small bar that does not have much attraction especially when you consider what is nearby but I guess it will serve a purpose if you would like a quiet drink or a drink in your room. Location is perfect for Hard Rock Café and a number of other eateries and bars. Michigan Ave. is about 7 minutes walk and Navy pier about 20mins. The hotel service was satisfactory and while the staff were not particularly friendly they were polite & courteous. Unfortunately my wife came down with a bug when we were in the hotel and we had to spend more time in the room then we expected. We simply could not cope with such a small room and left after only two nights.
