Beautiful property shame about the room facilities
The facilities at the hotel were excellent as was the view and the location. We were really impressed with these parts of the stay however the room facilities not match the hotel standard. The toilet had a major leak which covered a third of the bathroom floor with water but was rectified the following day after a plumber was called to fix it. The bathroom tap was also dripping constantly but when this was raised we found out they knew about it, perhaps a heads up would have been nice. The other issues we encountered were that the hot/cold water controls in the shower were next to impossible to get to a suitable temperature. It took about 2-3 minutes for the water to begin to get hot and then it quickly escalated to near boiling point quickly after. Unfortunately we were unable to find a happy medium between hot and cold so it was a matter of toggling between the two for the duration of a shower. Not something you want to do no matter the standard of accommodation. On Saturday afternoon my wife wanted to take a bath, again not able to find a happy balance between too hot and too cold but the main problem was that the plug in the bath could not make a tight seal. We could only get about 6-8cm of water in before it leaked out. As it was a push in, push out plug she had no option but to forego the bath. The only other criticism was that with such a fantastic view there was only 1 lounge chair on the balcony. Shame the room did not meet The Langham standard.
