The sign saying check in phone # had no lighting to indicate its location. I walked around the bldg twice. The room was clean, good bed, good temperature, however the walls so thin and light coming thru the locked adjouning door. The neighbors sexual acts sounded like rape when she kept yelling stop, it hurts. Seriously. The price was right but after a 13 hour drive sleep would have been nice. We left at 5:40 am.

No staff on site, but check in was relatively easy. I had room number one which was closest to the main drag, so I needed to use the fan to drown out the noise from the road.

Clean room. First room had no heat, called host, immediately moved to better room with 2 queen size beds, and plenty of heat. Comfortable beds. Bathroom vent is noisy and dirty.

Rooms are great, outside is a bit run down. Parking is very tight.. But love the convenience of checking in and it is close to Itasca state park and other cute towns. I would stay here again.

It was what we expected. We like a small place where we can park right by our door. We ride bikes and it is only a few blocks to the Heartland Trailhead. There were a few things missing in the bathroom like the TP and towel holders but they are minor. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Rustic Inn. The room was spacious and felt like a cabin in the woods. The bed was very comfortable, and we had enough blankets and pillows. The shower was a great size and always had hot water, and they had included dispensers with soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the shower. They had a tv that we could login to our own streaming services so we had what we wanted on tv in the evenings. There was a small wardrobe with hangers, and a separate coal hanging area, which was great for winter coats. There were plenty of lighting options. There was a microwave and fridge, a coffee machine, and a table with two chairs. The only con we had for our stay was that the coffee machine in our room was very dirty and we didn’t feel comfortable using it. There’s a gas station half a block a way, but it was an extra effort in the mornings. The lockbox holding the key was tricky to open the first time, but we were able to pull the box out with a small tool. We would definitely stay here again!

If you are looking for a nostalgic, comfortable, updated and safe place you need to try the Rustic Inn!
We loved the fact we had a little living room area to relax in. When we requested items, they were responded to quickly. The Inn in easily in walking distance to downtown restaurants.

Conveniently located on the main road through town. Shops, restaurants, convenience stores within a few minute walk or drive. Reasonably priced - fit my needs well. Will likely stay there again, if the opportunity arises.
