Another great stay at The Lodge
This was my second stay at the hotel. I like the introduction of the deli as it offered more choice. Previously, ordering in was not an issue, but it was not clear to me whether this was still OK. I would have liked additional bedding to be available as I was a little cold on the first night. Also whilst my bin was emptied after my first day, the bed was not made, the toilet not cleaned and coffee, tea and creamer not restocked. But I love the location, the staff are friendly, the hotel is quiet and clean and welcoming. Will certainly stop again. Oh, and of course, breakfast was superb. Sadly I only got to have it once due to an early flight.

Would love to give this hotel a higher rating but the lack of cleanliness in the bathroom and handling thereof unfortunately lowers the rating for us. Bathroom was not clean - hair in shower and confetti glitter on the floor and cupboards / sink. Was promised a proper cleaning in the morning and the only thing that was done was new towels put in glitter and all remained. Removed the hair myself so we could shower without getting grossed. Did get complimentary drinks which was a nice touch. Breakfast was great, location perfect for our stay and in general a good place. If they can get the cleaning up to par (apparently they use an external business for it) it would be great.

Good hotel, pleasant stay.
The staff at The Lodge were welcoming and the check in was efficient. The room was hot on entry but opening the window sorted this. The room was lightly serviced everybday which meant new towels only. Whilst tea and coffee was provided, I had to ask for a cup on my second day, and leave a note asking for a clean cup on the third. One was provided but no stirrer so I borrowed a teaspoon from breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, there was a fantastic selection of cooked food, cold meats, yogurt, cereal, and of course pastries! The staff at The Lodge were friendly and helpful and a credit to the hotel. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious.
