Great location, perfect for old town, train station, river walks and food market. We were impressed by the hotel and its welcoming vibe. Breakfast was plentiful. Spa -sauna, steam room and large jacuzzi - were great. Didn’t use the rooftop pool or bar. WiFi & tv channels worked well.

We had a wonderful stay. The location was perfect, the rooms were spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We will definitely be back.

10/10 Exceptional

Very nice staff and they organized a fun Dragshow in the evening. Close to old town with all the good restaurants. One minus is the bathroom, which dosent give much privacy due to the glass door (frosted) so the sounds are heard by everyone in the room.

8/10 Very good

Great location, and the room was a good size. The rooftop pool is perfect for cooling off on a hot summer day, but it’s quite shallow, so don’t expect to swim laps. The staff were friendly, and both check-in and check-out were quick and hassle-free.

10/10 Exceptional

The location, atmosphere, staff and room amenities were all excellent. We loved the extra welcome touches and the beautiful shower in our suite. This was our first time staying at an Axel Hotel and we will look forward to doing so again as we travel to other cities.

6/10 Good

Good room and location, but disappointing if you want to swim. The pool is small, unheated, and shallow, more of a spot to wade in with a cocktail near the bar than a place for laps. Other guests complained about it too. In the spa, the hot tub is too shallow to cover your shoulders and wasn't hot enough, and on several days it was cold. The sauna and steam room were fine, and the room itself was comfortable. Skip this one if the pool or hot tub matters to you.

We really enjoyed our stay at Axel Hotel in Bilboa. The location, staff, amenities and property were all excellent. We especially enjoyed the beautiful, extra large shower in our room. This was our first time staying at an Axel Hotel and will definitely look forward to staying with Axel again with our future travels.

10/10 Exceptional

My husband (68) and I (58) stayed for five nights, and were very pleased all the while. Great breakfast, helpful staff - very clean and fresh room. We loved the attitude; respect for all, be kind, take care of the planet. This concept is great. Also, the location was perfect. Thank you for a great stay!
