You might see the low price on the hotel and assume that it must be a crappy place. You would be wrong. It is clean, well maintained, and comfortable. The breakfast was a bit sparse, but it is a solid stay with ownership that seems to care about the place. I particularly appreciated the fact my room was nice and dark as it looked over a field instead of the usual bright parking lot lights. I guess the only reason it is cheap is because it is in a small town.

Manager and family who run the hotel walk around barefooted, had to ask for toiletries, room got bypassed for clean, killed a couple of spiders that were on the wall

Hotel could use new larger towels and better toiletries. Either improve the breakfast or not offer it all.
Otherwise, good quiet stay...just could use a few upgrades to make it better. Will definitely stay again.

Lighting outside was poorly lit. It smelled when you first walked in. The room was clean and didn't have an oder. The lady in the morning was very nice.

Small town, exceeded expectations!
Overall, a good experience. As the only hotel in a very small town, I didn't know what to expect, but it was clean and comfy. For the first night, we were the only occupants in the entire place, so I think it's fair to say the owners are doing their best with a limited income stream.
Positives: AC worked well, everything was secure and it was clean. Breakfast nook was clean, rooms were clean, all very good in that department. Owner was very business-like, not rude by any means, but not very talkative at check-in.
Negatives:
Pillows were not good at all. Staying with family but the 2 rooms shared doors with different doors, not each other. (Not "bad" but defeats having adjacent rooms.)
Breakfast was very sparse, almost not worth even having out, but again, to be fair, we were the ONLY occupants, so maybe when there are more people the breakfast would have more variety. (We left before it was out the 2nd morning.)
In summary, in a very small town, these folks are running a clean facility and when I visit again in a few weeks, I'll stay there again.
