A perfect spot to stay in Ville Franche Sur Mer! The ideal spot for a little shopping, going to the beach and watching all of the boats and yachts in the bay. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and we loved our suite with balcony overlooking the water. 5 minutes walk from the train station. The only hotel on the water in this beautiful little town!

Welcome Hotel is the best-kept secret of the French Riviera. It lies in the corner of a little resort-like area at one of Villefranche-sur-mer. The location could not be more perfect— right in the heart of villefranche with close proximity to restaurants and the beach. The view from our hotel room was also fabulous. However, the room was very small with only enough room to really walk around the bed. The furnishings were also outdated and could use updating. Some staff members were helpful, though the front desk was generally not helpful.

This hotel is beautifully located steps from the pier in Villefranche. The views are incredible, and the staff is extremely friendly. We would not hesitate to come back again. We had an amusing experience with one of the night staff, which illustrates the French culture a bit: before going out to dinner, we asked when the bar would close at. We were told 10pm. Upon returning at 9:45pm looking forward for a nightcap, we found the bar closed. When pointing out to the person at the desk that they said 10pm, the man looked puzzled, and replied: that's right, its quarter to 10, what do you expect ? LOL ! We opted to laugh. This is no way took away from the great stay we had there.

We spent 2 nites here. The Welcome hotel is a perfectly nice place in beautiful Villifranche. My expectations for the hotel were built up very high from things I had read so that when I arrived it was somewhat disappointing. There is really nothing special (good or bad) about it EXCEPT the location which is situated right on the harbor with spectacular views of the water. The rooms are a 3-4 star quality with a shower/bath combo that makes it very difficult to stand while taking a shower. One real negative is the parking. They send you across the street and down the block to a public parking lot. That's OK except when it gets busy (every evening beginning around 5pm) and the lot fills up. Then you have to wait until someone leaves before they let you in. I had to wait for 20-25 minutes when I got there for check in. The next nite we were out past midnight and we had the lot all to ourselves! Frustrating
