Bedding was clean. Pillows comfortable. Rooms tidy. Check-in was easy and quick. Otherwise an old, tired facility. The pictures of a golf course etc. are close by, but not the views of an abandoned lot we saw. Parking is tight, but off the street. "Spa" refers to an old, worn jetted tub. The ensuite toilet in the main bedroom upstairs is so small it's hard to get in and close the door.

Close to Whakarewarewa forest which is why I booked it. Cheap but dated. Property was as I had expected for the price so can't complain about that. Only main issue was that there is a lot of vibrations/noise that goes throughout the room literally every 30 secs 24hrs. Thought they were earthquakes at first but later found out that it was a pipe that ran under property and everytime a truck drove over it the place shook.

You had 2 portable heaters no heat pump. Power kept teipping out when yiu ran bohj heaters you had to go down stairs to wash in the cold damp bathroom. Your room key accesses another room so your property wasn't safe. The bath leaked tge water out as the plug provided was the wrong one. Cleanliness was lacking sink was marked not seen bleaching for quite sometime and carpet needed a vacuuming.. You had to park in your allocated space even though the csr psrk was to small for larger cars.

The service at the front desk was good and the staff were very friendly. The bedroom itself was okay but the bathroom and toilet was stained and dirty. Unfortunately because of that I would not stay there again.

OK value for money but not outstanding

The motel room was large and the bed fine. The upstairs room was large but the steps to get included a narrow landing. The car parking was very tight. If there had been a couple of twin cabs we would have been in trouble. The room was not air conditioned and quite hot on the February night we stayed there.Overall the motel is a bit tired but ok value for money.
