2/10 Poor

They didn't even provide tissue paper, and both their rolls of toilet paper was only 1.5-2cm thick, so they were really stingy. The wifi was really slow at night, unless you stayed up to ungodly hours or used it in the early morning. There was a bad smell from the toilet. Water dripped down from one corner of the toilet ceiling intermittently and it was quite disgusting. There was also a big hole under the sink so I could see the the piping under the sink. This was room #212. So make sure you request to not have that room. My colleagues in rooms #813 and another level 8 room didn't seem to complain though. The shower door didn't close properly or block the spray effectively, so the floor mat was perpetually soaked after a bath. They only provide two bath towels. No hand or face towels. I paid RMB379 per night for a room for one. Seems quite pricey for such a level of quality. I would rate this at most 1.5 stars out of 5.

Not bad but not great
Front desk was friendly, but hotel was not as new and clean as I'm used to when staying at ibis locations in other countries. The booking picture looks like the hotel is brand new, but I'd estimate it to be at least 10-15 years old.

2/10 Poor

Good location
Think of the hotel more like a dingy backpackers. The room stinks, rarely anyone speaks English, customer services is non existent, food/room service does not exist (eat at the 7/11 trust me), only local channels on the tv when it works, toilet rolls are only 1/3 size (?), hookers somehow get into the hotel and drop their card under your door. Extremely disappointing.

Meh...
The Good : Convenient Location, decent lobby for a relatively inexpensive business hotel with good canteen attached to the lobby. The Bad : White walls with layer of flattened dust/dirt, free WIFI slow as molasses The Ugly : As others mentioned....the smell coming from the bathroom was unearthly. Had to keep the bathroom doors closed, with toilet seat cover down, and with the exhaust fan on at all times. Problem was once you leave the room the power shuts and the exhaust fan turns off. When you return to your room, better hold your breath if you want to use the bathroom. I would not recommend this hotel.

Good Location
Was my second stay so that says I like the hotel and it's location. The return on my investment was quite reasonable. Enough space in the room for 1 or a couple and free internet. No shaver or shampoo. Hotel is easy to find by walking straight out exit A and turn left at the first traffic intersection. The hotel will be on the right side and not far away, and the same side, is a Pacific Coffee shop.

Cheap and Conveniet
I was happy with the stay. The location is very convenient for me as it is close to the subway, has a 7-11 next door to buy water and snacks. I used to live in Beijing for over 8 years, so I'm very familiar with Beijing and how to get around. If it is your first time in Beijing and aren't the adventurous type then you might want to consider something a bit closer to Wang Fu Jing Shopping street. Another point to consider is the rooms are small, so if you are traveling with someone it will be a bit cramped. As inexpensive hotels go in China, Ibis is always a great choice because the service and rooms are fairly standardized across the country.

Comfortable
I am a former resident of Beijing who was looking for a clean, inexpensive hotel for a short stay. I found it! Nothing fancy but a clean and functional facility for a reasonable price.

Comfortable and convenient
Stayed a week here, Fall 2013. It is 1 km from Sanlitun and even closer to many restaurants in the neighborhood. In the opposite direction, you are on a busier street and access to subway. I was on the 6th floor facing the street. Window could open; blinds could be drawn to make the room dark. In-room internet was reliable and good enough. (I hard wired my laptop and made it an access point to share via WiFi). I think there might also be WiFi. 7-11 is just about next door and convenient; I could even buy some ice there (small bags). The cafe in the hotel is okay - not terrible. Food was pre-wrapped in cellophane - a little high-priced - like airplane food. I only used it one time. There is some parking in back - which we made use of. One of us was a Chinese speaker so I can't comment on the availability of English speaking at the desk, but they were typical and professional. Yes, there is some DWV odor from the toilet - just keep the door closed. The room was clean enough, cleaning is available every day if you want it. Bars and restaurants nearby and Sanlitun an easy enough 1 km walk. The room was small ("cute" or "cozy" in real estate speak) but still okay for two. The bathroom was clean with an excellent shower. So, in summary: it is not one of the modern 4 star hotels but a serviceable and clean older (smaller rooms) hotel. If I needed to be in this neighborhood again, I would stay here, unless my company was paying - then I might move up a star.

A very dirty hotel, dirty rooms
Booked 6 nights at this hotel for a recent trip to Beijing. The hotel is filthy. My room had mold everywhere in the bathroom, the shower leaked water all over the floor (due to its poor design), and the toilet smelled like sewage. Another aspect about this hotel that really bothered me was someone kept leaving business cards for "adult" massages on my door (and other doors). The cards had a phone number and semi nude woman's photo. I do not recommend this hotel, Especially if you have children. Oh and the hotel only has ONE elevator so at certain times, this can be problematic. My main complaint is how dirty the rooms are.

A Decent Choice for Budget Travelers
It was relatively cheap but I got what I paid for. The staff were standard for China, meaning they don't greet you and are relatively rough when answering questions (particularly in Chinese), but they help you with what you need and can speak English which I think is above and beyond. It's very close to a subway station on line 6 which, that subway line, will take you directly to many of Beijing's most famous sights. It is also located directly south of Sanlitun Village about four blocks along the same road making a walk there extremely simple and convenient.

Great Location
The combination of reasonable pricing, great location, fairly comfortable room and good front desk service made my stay quite enjoyable. I intend to stay there again on my next visit. Anyone arriving by subway at Dongdaqiao station should take exit B. Hotel is within 10 minutes walk to Sanlitun shopping area. Breakfast was ok.

nearby underground MRT station which is convenient
I enjoy staying a centre of Beijing city at a reasonable rate per night but the room outside is a bit noisy in the morning around 8:30 am to 12:00 am. Only one floor non-smoking floor is not enough for me as non-smoker.

Great value & English speaking reception
Great value for the price. Earlier commentators had complained about "no English speakers". Not now. Always at least one of the receptionists spoke good english. 10-15 min walk to Sanlitun Village and the shopping there. A block and a half to subway station.

never again!
Even 30 years ago when I got use travelling as a backpacker I never staid in such dirty place! Hotel is far away from Ibis Worldwide standard: wastage and garbage everywhere, dust (ok, this was coz of elevator maintanance) noisy. Difficult to find something positive except the kindness of the staff.
