"EVERYTHING! This place was such a find. I am so happy with my decision to book a lake view room. It was ground floor and overlooked the walkway, bridge and gorgeous blue/green waters. Room was huge. Everything was modern as it’s a relatively new place. But well appointed and designed. The staff were incredible. And there is a cat! It’s worth every penny from the amenities, location and living space (and cat). The little extras in the kitchen and top quality bathroom products. The stars did elude me due to cloud cover but I knew they were there. Thank you Team Grand Suites Lake Tekapo. You are definitely doing destination accommodation. I never wanted to leave. "

The Huts at Lakes Edge

The Huts at Lakes Edge

10/10 Excellent
"The Huts are a special place to stay and the pricing reflects that. I was concerned about being in a holiday park but no need. The huts themselves are very soundproof and I quite enjoyed watching the goings on at the campervan site. The rooms were compact as expected but very functional and still felt new. The view is unparalleled. Bathroom was an excellent size and great fluffy towels. Toiletries were good quality but did feel like they had been watered down somewhat. Also, for the price paid I would expect the room to be serviced better daily. We got new towels but left in the bedroom and not put in the bathroom. They took the dishcloth and tea towel and didn’t replace ( we had to phone to get this so we could clean dishes). Would be nice if the bed was remade. Also odd that crockery and cutlery is limited to three items. Constant washing up required. We didn’t use the bathtub on the deck but did love sitting out there for the view. Note that you do get quite a bit of noise from the water park. Also early in the morning the staff at the water park play loud music when setting up. This is an excellent and relaxing place to stay.
