"Beautiful room, we were in the Secret Garden apartment which was a very kind free upgrade from the Bond room we booked. Beautiful copper bath in the main room, nice and romantic. Rally big bathroom and shower with plenty room for 2 people. We will definitely be staying with them in the future and we may also try the lovely Aven restaurant they have on the ground floor. Lovely staff and apartments kitchen pretty well equipped, only thing missing is a small oven or airfryer, one of those would complete the rooms amazingly. "

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Preston

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Preston is during January, February, and November, when hotel prices are generally lower. For a budget-friendly trip, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended to fully appreciate the city’s historical landmarks, cultural attractions, and natural parks. During your visit, you can explore the local museums, enjoy art exhibits, and experience the friendly atmosphere of the city, all while taking advantage of great value for money. With the potential for prices to drop during these months, it’s an ideal opportunity for those travelling on a budget.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Preston, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute DealsOpens in a new window section on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates on hotels approaching your travel date. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you're more likely to see flash sales and special promotions, helping you save on your booking. Additionally, the Smart ShoppingOpens in a new window tool within the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, so you can keep an eye on your preferred hotels. If prices drop or new rooms become available, you'll be promptly notified for your last-minute getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your dates might help you save on your stay in a Preston hotel. For those in search of distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher end, we’ll recommend more affordable dates, increasing the likelihood that you’ll find the best deal.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre generally tend to be more expensive, but with Preston's superb public transport links, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less populated neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative locations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
