If you want a cheap and affordable room. Motel 6 is the best option to go with. Clean room, helpful staff. Only downside was the ice machine was out of order for some reason.

Very old fashioned installations and with lack of maintenance. The furniture in the room looks relatively new but the bathroom, doors and windows very old and with signs of old insects here and there. Although my roll was a “no smoking”, at the time I entry, it was a strong odor a cigarettes!! Very nasty smells.

The front office manager was very helpful with a problem that arose back home during my travel. There is ample free parking in an accessible area with several food places within walking distance. My only issue is that the room could have been cleaner and smelled of cigarette smoke. Due to my allergies I cut my stay short - I couldn’t handle the smell anymore. It seems to be a recurring theme with sites booked through Hotels.com that they are not as clean as travelers expect. It doesn’t cost anymore to clean a room in a budget hotel than in a five-star. Perhaps investing in some Mr. Clean Magic Erasers would help!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for the night after we went to a concert. It was a decent place to stop and get some sleep for a few hours. I wouldn’t want to stay more than one night though. The tv didn’t work, there was no blanket, only a small sheet, someone smoked in the room prior to my stay (there was a leftover smoked roach by the bed), and there were no amenities in the room beyond two small bars of soap. However, the staff was very friendly and the area was quiet.

This hotel is a great value. Most were charging double or triple this price. My only complaint is the noise from the street. It's not very soundproof. The staff were wonderful. I would stay here again. Oh yeah, the parking is free. You don't find that often in Chicago. A security guard is present too.

The check-in process was OK due to some confusion about what ID they required. The room itself was clean. Although this is the third Motel 6 I have stayed in where the bathroom door has been fixed due to what looks like someone trying to break it down. The carpark isn't in the best condition. Also I stayed over a Saturday and Sunday and there were only a few spots left on the Saturday. Conveniently located to public transport to get into Downtown Chicago.
