Obviously this hotel would be the best option if you booked the Starlight Express show as it's literally next door to the venue. The staff were polite, helpful, efficient, and spoke great English. Rooms were clean and functional and there is an option to book a buffet dinner for after the matinee or after the evening show. The hotel will costa bit extra than the ones further away, but it is more than worth it. Make sure you check in at least half an hour before the show as there may be queues from other guests during that time.

The location is great next to the Starlight Express Theatre which we were visiting. Unfortunately the bar was closed after we’d seen the show although we were able to use the fridge in the lobby. Breakfast was a buffet style and an excellent selection. The room was a good size although the decor was rather dated. Overall we had a good stay.

Putzen statt schlafen
Die Pünktlichkeit der Putzkolonne im Empfangsbereich war auffällig: Um jeweils 05.22 Uhr war für uns die Nacht vorbei. Als 70-jährige Hotelnutzer hatten wir so etwas noch nie erlebt. Die Entschuldigung an der Rezeption empfanden wir als ehrlich. Gleichzeitig klang sie aber hilflos. Offensichtlich bestimmt in diesem Hotel die Reinigungsfirma die Regularien. Diese Erfahrung floss selbstverständlich in die Beschreibung des Aufenthalts bei unseren Freunden ein. Mit dem Aufenthalt in dem Hotel und den Leistungen insgesamt waren wir (aber) sehr zufrieden.

Einfach klasse
Meine Frau und ich haben das Musical starlight express besucht und wir haben nach einem nahegelegenen Hotel gesucht! Dass es so nah liegt, hätten wir nicht gedacht! Einfach top! Weiterhin war der Empfang im Hotel bereits sehr freundlich. Uns wurde sofort empfohlen, dass wir bei bedarf des Restaurants direkt Bescheid geben sollen, was wir auch taten! Nach einer kurzen Erfrischung sind wir zum Essen gegangen. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Bewirtung war einfach freundlich und zuvorkommend! Man hat gemerkt dass die Leute ihre Arbeit gerne machen, zumindest kam das so an! Das hat man selten! Auch das Frühstück war sehr gut! Eine super Auswahl an Getränken und Obst! Alles was das Herz begehrt! Und auch beim Frühstück waren alle Angestellte wirklich freundlich und zuvorkommend und haben sich um alles gekümmert! Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Nettes Personal. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet. Preis/Leistung Gut. Wir waren zu zweit und haben uns für dieses Hotel entschieden, da es genau zwischen Essen und Dortmund lag. Wir haben die EMS und JP-Performance besucht. Gut zu erreichen. Parkplatz war gegen Abend etwas schwierig, aber das Personal hatte auch hier sofort geholfen. Gerne wieder

Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer war sauber aber halt doch schon in die Jahre gekommen. Teppich und Badewanne sind nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Leider war es im Zimmer sehr kalt. Dafür war das Frühstück sehr vielfältig, lecker und es wurde alles nachgelegt.

Alles war sehr angenehm und sauber. Das Hotel könnte vielleicht etwas moderner gestaltet sein – zum Beispiel ohne Teppichböden – aber insgesamt war es wirklich gut. Wir würden definitiv wiederkommen! Besonders das Frühstück hat uns überzeugt: eine tolle Auswahl, auch für Vegetarier. Absolut empfehlenswert! Die Nähe zu Starlight Express ist ein weiterer Pluspunkt und das Personal war durchweg freundlich.
